FAST AWAY THE OLD YEAR PASSES

HAIL THE NEW, YE LADS AND LASSES we maintain enough reverence for the spirit of the season (under the auspices of s. claus, or whichever deity you consider to be preeminent) not to do this to the geekmas tree until after christmas proper. 

but it’s a different holiday now. The only holiday where we still, en masse, pause to consider, and celebrate, the fact that we’re rushing headlong towards the unknown. New Year’s at the edge of the map. Rebirth and shit. Let’s do this.
