Iris and Himari in TA. (@adagiorii)
Iris, the prime student. She’s smart, she’s skilled, and her family is a leading legacy of agents and commanders. Every action is pre-planned, every sentence performed to perfection. She has to be perfect, because no one else can or will.
Himari, the pitiful one. She didn’t get in because of her own skill, or even from relations to agents. Her sister was the guide into her personal torture. Because for some reason, her parents are more willing to go bankrupt so that their cursed child can learn to be normal than care for the other who has to deal with the burden.
Iris, having seen the poor charity case that is Himari, feels disgusted. Why would they allow someone like her into this academy? It feels like an insult to the people who actually ‘tried’.
Himari, having to deal with the mockery and glances of having a sister seen as the grimspawn of the town, feels infuriated. How could they allow someone like her to have such a prestige level? It’s an insult to the suffering people in the real world.
They bicker, and yet Himari is the only one to face the consequences. So is how the world works. Iris makes her life more of a living hell, and prides off of it.
But two hotheaded people clashing is bound for an explosion eventually, yes?
And when that happens, the pieces are hard to put back together.
