Gwyn ap Nudd when he was a little younger. Just one of my random flashbacks because I’m soft
“Anything for you. Anything in my power.” He corrected himself and soon fingers were tapping his lips and he frowned only slightly at basically being told to shush for a second.
“Just listen. Please. I trust only you, but I need someone to look after my people for when I can’t. It's not something you’ll have to do soon but I want you to remember this promise if you make it. Even centuries from now, I want to know that you won’t forget me and to know that I never forgot you. They won’t need much, just protection. Making sure they don’t all kill each other. One day, they’ll have a leader that can keep up and can do better for them than I can. Until then, I want to know that they’ll have you. That I’ll have you, even when I’m gone.” It made Gwyn frown more, he may be leaving but he wasn’t staying away. Change was happening but when winter passed, he would come back to visit. This was all so final, and he wasn’t sure of it but how could he not promise. He cared for him, and he would happily take the time to check on his people. If he died.
“You sound like a doom speaker. You won’t die for a very long time. After all, who else will I visit when not riding the skies and shepherding souls.” It was still very new, being in charge of more than just himself but he also felt natural at it.
“Just promise me or not. Please, Gwyn.” Striking blue eyes met his new mismatched ones and he nodded.
“I promise, you know that I would never say no. But I w-” His words were cut off by soft lips against his own and he was unsure of what he was supposed to do. What he wanted to do and what he should, didn’t match up and he started in heated confusion when Geim pulled back.
“I...why did you do that?” It came off a lot more grumpy than he meant, but it wasn’t often anything caught him off guard. Unless you counted every single moment in his company. Geim wore that pleased smirk like he caught his prey between his teeth and Gwyn was glaring now. Waiting for an answer.
“Oh stop. It was a thank you and I don’t think you actually want to complain. You just don’t handle surprises well. Do you? Just enjoy it. Sometimes you are so old, mo chroí.” Geim tapped his finger against Gwyn’s nose before resting his hand on Gwyn’s chest. His fingers were cold against his skin, where they slipped through the strings on his shirt.
“I am not old. Yet. Unlike you, and yet you act younger than me. You don’t even, you feel nothing for me in that way. You wasted your kiss.” It was huffy and he clearly did not do well with affection.
“I didn’t, I may not love you the way you love me. But I do still love you and it was well worth the kiss. And since it will be some time until I see you again, you deserve another.” Gwyn was more prepared this time at the lips against his own and he leaned into the kiss, not minding the fingers that played through his hair, tugging him closer. He knew he meant it as a platonic one, but he also knew he would never feel just that with him. When Geim pulled back, he managed a small smile.
“No. Just one until I see you again. Gwyn Ap Nudd.”
