hey, if you're making a geisha au, please do some research first. otherwise you're just doing a fetishization/appropriation of japanese culture. that's racist btw. memoirs of a geisha is a racist fetishizing piece that disrespect the geisha. Yes I know about the critics on the movie. I did some researches on wiki about danna first and how geisha are trained before writing the plot/hcs. Also, I know geisha aren’t prostitutes, but they’re paid for their art (when I said entertain I didn’t mean it in a malicious way), but thanks for the links.

Despite everything, I don’t want to write the AU if not for some hc (it’s too much work and I don’t really have the time). It’s fun to write about HQ!! characters as geisha tho.
