I tend to be a caring and motherly figure, and like to make sure all my friends/loved ones are doing okay. I love seeing others smile, and I try my best to make sure someone who is having a hard time is comfortable and has an easy recovery. I give them time and space, or I give them cuddles and love! 🔥 anything about mettaton?

the way he treats Burgerpants in the game isn’t funny. whether BP is a shitty employee or not, yelling constantly, putting on CDs about how bad he is at his job, and making him put on dumb costumes in order to laugh at him is cruel and completely OOC considering how Mettaton treats all his other employees. if your employee is that bad, just fucking fire him, humiliating him repeatedly isn’t going to change his behavior.

I know it was probably just for Funnies or whatever but the majority of people I’ve met who work the same kind of job Burgerpants does don’t find it funny and neither do I. you can have your Nihilistic Millennial Fast Food Worker Stereotype without adding in what’s basically employee abuse.

thoughts on the idea of an undertale sequel

hhhhhhhh while all of my autistic body is SCREAMING for more ut content I’m. really not sure how the rational part of me feels about the idea lol.

really I’d only want one if it was guaranteed to like. build on the first game and not rehash it or go back on all the wonderful messages it had. not that I don’t trust Toby Fox to have some great ideas--the first game is proof he does. but it can be hard to make a good sequel sometimes.

I also just don’t really know what could be done for a sequel? what is there to build on or tell a story about? based on the credits of UT, the monsters seem pretty happy on the surface, so unless some nasty human or whatever decides to try oppressing the monsters or whatever again, I can’t really see a story there.

honestly, if there’s any more ut content made, I want it to be a prequel. I wanna know more about the war between humans and monsters and Asgore and Toriel and Asriel and the first fallen human. that, I think, has potential as a new story.

I kinda doubt we’re gonna get anything though. iirc, Toby seemed pretty content making just the one game. and tbh I think I am too. if I’m really hungering for more content, I’ll just go find another fanfic.

at the very least you could say that Mettaton’s story directly parallels the transitioning of a trans person. personally I think there’s plenty of evidence to call him actually canonically trans, considering he goes from being a ghost (which is a nonbinary or genderless species of monster) with they/them pronouns to being a robot with he/him pronouns--the pronoun change being indicative of a gender change. by this logic, Mettaton would in fact be literally trans. and tbh I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s why people are so split on his gender--they can never let a trans character be trans, they always have to argue or say “well it’s up to interpretation uwu”

unpopular opinion: alphys being a weeb isn't cute and shouldn't be thought of as relatable or funny. weeaboos are terrible.

this is definitely one of the things that bother me about her, and it’s why I don’t really focus on that aspect of her when I write. having her like anime is one thing, but the game was really weird about it, and the fandom just takes it to new heights, and that’s something I just. eesh.

general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life 

hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang

hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff - I place him here generally because of his unwavering loyalty, kindness, and hardworking spirit. that said, I think he could also work in Gryffindor--the fact that he puts aside his own terror in order to try and change your heart in the murder run will always get me.

best quality: same things I put him in Hufflepuff for--his kindness and loyalty. he refuses to kill you, tries to make sure you’re fed, and generally just moms the fuck out of everyone, and I really love that. and there’s also the fact that in the murder run, he puts aside everything to try and get you back on the right path, because he’s concerned for YOUR fate.

worst quality: absolutely fucking nothing

haha kidding (mostly). most people might put his “conceitedness/narcissism/self-importance” or whatever, buuuuut if you really pay attention, this boy has some serious self-esteem issues, and these are what I’d personally put as his ‘worst quality.’ even though at the end of the day these issues might not be entirely his fault.

ship them with: Mettaton! aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I think that’s it.

brotp them with: Undyyyyyyyyyyyyne. these two are the ultimate mlm/wlw solidarity and you know it 

needs to stay away from: the font/cest shippers anyone who wants to kill him. what kind of ugly people are y’all

misc. thoughts: of all characters, this is definitely the one I’ve absorbed most into my personality for various reasons. I utterly adore him and he deserves only the best. I really wish people would stop infantilizing him and realize he’s just as much an adult as the other characters.
