Part 12
Heda-?
"Here Raven you have to eat it," I said nearly forcing the herbs into her mouth. Flinching as she screamed in pain Clarke was sealing her wounds with a very hot knife. On the other side of her was Finn holding her hand through the entire process.
"Agh-" Raven screamed, forcing the herbs into her mouth her screams muffled but they would help with the pain.
"That'll stop the external bleeding," Clarke said, placing the hot blade down, looking over my shoulder Bellamy was lingering behind me. Staring at Raven he looked worried for her. At first, I was unsure of why he looked distraught but it did not take a rocket scientist to realize he sent her down there.
"The herbs should help with the pain she just needs to try to relax," I explained, rubbing my hand Raven had bitten me several times.
"I don't understand how did Murphy get a gun?" Finn exclaimed but no one had any answers the gun could have belonged to anyone.
"No we got lucky if he would've hit the fuel tank instead of me we would all be dead," Raven explained, pushing some of the hair from her face she smiled up at me, "Thanks."
"Of course," I said, backing away as they started discussing possible bombs and rocket fuel I felt uncomfortable. Sitting on the ramp of the dropship the first person to run out was Finn. Neither of us said a word to each other but he seemed busy. Staring at the entrance of the camp the fear of outside of the camp was still kicking my ass.
"We're going to be okay," Jumping at the sudden voice, Bellamy joined me in staring at the entrance of the camp. I know he did not want to run, he wanted to go to war, to fight for what he built here.
"Maybe this will keep more of us alive. War will destroy us," I said, looking at Bellamy as he looked back down at me a soft chuckle left him, "What was that?"
"You don't give yourself enough credit Sommers. Braver than you look," Bellamy said, getting up holding his hand out to me I took it.
"I'm a coward," I said, shaking my head at his statement.
"No, I'd say just practical why, leave the safety of the camp that's smart. Heroes die and not everyone needs to be one. Someone has to live to tell the story," Bellamy explained and I never thought about it like that. I am not naive I was never meant to be on earth and yet maybe I am. Walking over to Clarke I could see the relief wash over her as she feared Bellamy would try and stay.
"You did good here Bellamy," Clarke said but I found myself staring at the unmarked grave where Wells was.
"Eighteen dead," Bellamy said.
"82 Alive. You did good," Clarke said, walking out the entrance several others were following. Walking up to the entrance I could feel my chest tighten and body freeze. Finn was busy helping with Raven and Clarke was leading everyone to possible safety. Bellamy was nowhere in sight, closing my eyes in failed attempts to will myself out nothing was working.
"Hey how about we go together," Looking over it was Octavia, nodding slowly as she took my hand my anxiety at an all-time high we were moving. Squeezing my eyes shut I did not care if I looked silly.
"I can't do this. I'm sorry I can't," I cried not opening my eyes, pulling my arms back Octavia did not fight me on it. Peaking my eyes open looking around I was surrounded by trees. Looking back the entrance of the camp was not too far but I was outside of it.
"You got this," Octavia reassured me before joining the crowd. Following her into the crowd I couldn't find her but I did find Bellamy. He didn't say a word as he continued to scan around with his gun ready for an attack. I had lost Octavia because she had run up ahead to lead everyone. Walking for a little we all stopped as Octavia put her hand up bringing everyone to a halt. Taking a deep breath as everyone murmured in confusion the feeling of helplessness was making me nervous.
"What is it?" Jasper whispered but someone shushed him immediately.
"Why are we stopping?" Raven asked but Finn was just as lost as many, maybe leaving camp wasn't the best idea. Looking over to my left I could hear something the noise was foreign but definitely not natural before I had time to react the noise connect with Drew's face. I couldn't tell you what it was that lodged out of Drew's skill if I wanted to.
"Drew!" I screamed, as his blood splattered onto my face I could feel someone pulling me but my eyes would not leave Drew's body.
"He's gone (Y/n) we have to go," Bellamy said, pulling me away my vision felt dazed. Pulling me through the woods I could feel myself stumbling around.
"Grounders!" I could head Jasper scream but it sounded as if he was at the end of a tunnel. As everyone began running and filing back into camp my ears were ringing. Getting inside Bellamy looked me directly in the eyes. He was telling me to hide in the dropship, that I would be safe there. Nodding my head I could feel myself drifting between consciousness and unconsciousness as I felt myself drowning in fear. Trying to walk toward the dropship for a second I thought I was imagining the feeling of being lifted up. Leaning my head onto the shoulder of whoever was carrying me I had no energy to look up.
"Thank you," I breathed out, dozing out sleep overcame without a problem.
➼
Bringing my hands to my eyes a deep yawn left me. It felt like glass scraping in my throat as my mouth was so dry. Next to me were two things, a gun, and a radio. Sliding the gun away from me the only person I could think of who would do that is Bellamy.
"I see them. They're moving! I count one, two, three, no wait there's more. I don't know man they're too damn many of them!" A voice through the radio yelled then it was followed by gunfire.
"Who was that?" Bellamy yelled, picking up the walkie I did not say anything but I could hear everything.
"Sterling I think. South Foxhole."
"South Foxhole report now," Bellamy said.
"Yeah, yeah we're okay. They didn't attack it's like shooting at ghosts," Sterling said.
"There! I see them!" Monroe yelled.
"Stop! Stop! Hold your fire!" Bellamy yelled.
"We're down to our last clips."
"Ahh! They're everywhere! Fall back! Fall back!" A voice screamed into the radio making me jump at the sudden cry. Looking at the opening of the dropship I never understood the allure of danger and yet here I am feeling compelled to go out there. Walking out onto the ramp it was chaos out there. Reaching the center of camp that is when the gunfire and screaming started again. Looking around I could see some people but most were outside the walls. It's happening again.
The ringing in my ear was returning and I could feel another wave of dizziness hit me.
"(Y/n) you can't be out here-" Looking over it was Finn as he started talking I could make out what he was saying but nothing was making sense. Around us, several of the delinquents were rushing into the dropship.
"Wait, Finn," I said but he spoke again before pushing me toward the dropship. Seeing as several of the hundred were either dying or heading for the drop ship I knew everything was utter chaos. Standing on the ramp watching this war find its way into camp everything was falling apart. Watching Bellamy take down the first grounder he began running toward me but was stopped short as another grounder was coming his way, picking up a rifle it only clicked as it was empty. Jumping back as the ground swiped a blade at him he dodged it but as the grounder hooked his right fist forward it connected with Bellamy's face stunning him. The grounder began to beat the living hell out of him I could feel the tears building in my eyes but I still did nothing.
"No!" I screamed, getting Finn's attention he snatched a rifle off of one of the delinquents and ran towards the dropship. Tumbling backward someone pulled my shirt toward the dropship. Looking back it was Clarke and as Finn ran over he didn't look at me only at Clarke.
"Get her inside," He said.
"Finn no!" Clarke yelled but it was too late as he shot Tristan and ran over but the grounder wasn't dead yet. I wasn't able to see what happened next as Clarke managed to fully pull me inside and I fell onto my back.
"Let me go!" I screamed but Clarke now was not alone in keeping me inside. Jasper was helping her in keeping me from the entrance. Getting a glimpse of outside I could see Finn for a second and we made eye contact right before the grounder punched him down, "Finn!"
"Miller, Jasper hold her back," Clarke said and I had no clue where this sudden strength came from but I continued struggling and screaming as Miller and Jasper were holding me down. Clarke was holding the lever to the entrance I knew we had to close it soon.
"Don't do this Clarke! Finn and Bellamy are still out there!" I pleaded as tears ran down my face Clarke had to look away. Pushing the lever up Clarke looked down in sadness as I kept crying pleading for her to stop. Another loud cry caught everyone's attention though and then a grounder woman rolled inside pulling out her swords. Slipping out of Miller and Jasper's grasp as the lady held her sword out to everyone she stopped when her eyes fell on me.
"Heda-?" She began confused before one of the delinquents hit her over her head. Before I could try and figure out what had just happened the dropship shook violently and I could hear the screams of the dying.
"No," I cried, starting to hyperventilating at the thought of Finn and Bellamy out there screaming with the masses. My chest tightening and my brain nearly exploding death was feeling like the only option. At my side was Jasper checking on me but I couldn't hear him as my mind was stuck on mute. Not moving for what felt like hours when Clarke opened the dropship reality hit so much harder.
Stepping out of the dropship the solemn look I had maintained the entire night quickly turned to devastation. Standing over where I last saw Bellamy and Finn resided to two skeletons all the skin burnt off their bodies. Falling to my knees Clarke was at my side helping me back up as I cried.
"No, they can't b-" I stammered, rambling through my tears but Clarke pulled me into a hug.
"He loved you. He wanted you to be safe," Clarke said, attempting to comfort me but it only made me freeze as her words sent a revelation down my spine.
"Clarke I didn't say it back," I said in panic and she knew exactly what I meant as I began freaking out in tears, "Clarke I didn't say it back. Everyone I love is dead I have nothing I'm actually alone this time."
"No, no, no, no you are not because you always have me. Okay and we're going to get through this I promise," Clarke said, pressing her forehead to mine, I nodded through my tears as I could feel everyone was giving me sympathetic side glances. Looking around taking it all in we can never catch a break as red smoke bombs began riddling the inside of the camp.
"What the hell?" Jasper whispered looking around and I looked at the grounder woman who stared at me perplexed. Running over she pushed me behind her as if she was trying to protect me.
"What's happening?" I asked and she looked at me with fear riddled in her eyes.
"Mountain men," She whispered and you furrowed your eyebrows at her until you caught the sight of someone in a hazmat suit. As the grounder woman tried to fight before I could react I could feel something sharp in my neck. Falling to the floor the last thing I saw before everything turned black as Clarke falling to the ground.
Looking around the unfamiliar room I could feel the drowsiness from whatever I was injected with. Walking over to the door it was locked, which wasn't surprising. Looking out the window though I wasn't alone.
"Clarke?"

Part 11
About Two Minutes
"-all the gunpowder we're wasting, we could be making more grenades," Bellamy said and Raven looked very annoyed. I had just returned from the dropship after patching Myles up and leaving him to rest.
"Look I don't care about the bickering I need this entire section mined by morning then Raven you finish the south field," Bellamy said, Myles told me everything when I was helping him. The pending war with the grounders, Clarke and Finn captured everyone was tense and scared.
"Hey I told you we're going after Finn, Clarke, and Monty in the morning," Raven said, lingering behind them I agreed with Raven.
"And I told you nobody leaves this camp," Bellamy said beginning to walk off but Raven was persistent.
"Hey I'm talking to you," Raven called out, following them I didn't say a word. This fight for leadership was one I would never want. I was scared though, so busy avoiding Finn now that he was actually gone I missed him more than ever.
"We can't just abandon them you want to lead them, then show them you give a damn," Raven said, having a standoff I watched just waiting to know what the verdict would be. Then the sound of a gun firing went off taking everyone's attention. I jumped back almost sure it was an attack at first but it was not. Just poor sleep-deprived Sterling.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Bellamy yelled in anger walking toward him and I furrowed my eyebrows at his hostility. Maybe Sterling was not the only one sleep-deprived.
"I'm sorry, man. I fell asleep. I've been on watch all day," Sterling said but Bellamy was still walking up to him which made me slowly inched toward the two.
"We've all been on watch all day! That bullet was one less dead Grounder!" Bellamy yelled pressing the boy to the wall by his shirt.
"Bell, you're scaring people," Octavia said and she was right as he was lashing out, the way he was acting was even scaring me.
"They should be scared! The bomb on the bridge bought us some time to prepare, but that time is up! The Grounders are out there right now waiting for us to leave and picking us off one by one when we do!" Bellamy announced and I stepped into Bellamy's line of sight cautiously.
"We need to calm down and regroup," I suggested, eyes on me a small ripple of nods in agreement followed. The look Bellamy was giving me though made me feel small and irrelevant.
"Give up (Y/n). Clarke, Finn, and Monty are gone! Probably dead. This camp is the only thing keeping us alive!" As he grew silent he finally realized what he said and acknowledged the look on my face. Wiping my tears quickly I don't know why I even tried saying anything. "(Y-"
"It's okay," I said, running off back into the dropship to check Myles. After a few minutes of tending to Myles, I didn't even turn to see who had walked in.
"(Y/n) I'm-" Bellamy began softly but I shook my head still patting Myles's forehead with a wet rag as he groaned in pain.
"Myles is gonna be okay he just needs to heal up a bit and I did the best I could with the stitching," I explained and then Jasper walked in staring at Bellamy in annoyance.
"Don't you two think I want to go after them, too?" Bellamy asked but I continued tending to Myles trying to comfort him in his distress.
"If it was you out there you think Monty, Finn, or Clarke would hide behind these walls?" Jasper asked.
"No they'd go after me and they'd be dead too," Bellamy said and I finally snapped turning my head toward both of them.
"Stop! Just please stop saying that," I begged, eyes puffy and red I swiped them again with the sleeve of my jacket.
"I am doing what I think is right for the group," Bellamy said.
"It's funny you didn't think that way when Octavia went missing. I could probably bet my life if it was Octavia this whole camp would be out there looking for her under your order right?" Jasper asked.
"Myles I'll be right back okay," I whispered in his ear before kissing his forehead but he stopped me.
"Water please," He begged I nodded but Bellamy beat me to it saying he'd get it. I climbed up to the next flight just to clear my head and Jasper followed.
"Where are you two going?" Bellamy quickly asked and I ignored him still heading up the ladder as Jasper stopped going into the saluting gesture.
"More gunpowder for your minefield sir," Jasper said mockingly saluting Bellamy before following me, Bellamy knew everyone kind of hated him at the moment. Getting to where I was Jasper sat next to me on the floor, hugging me it was the nicest thing anyone could really do at the time. "Hey don't listen to Bellamy, okay he's just pessimistic alright they're going to be okay."
"How do you know that?" I asked as I was now crying my eyes felt heavy. Jasper sighed pulling me into a well-needed hug again as the thought of them being dead terrified me.
"I don't but we just have to believe in others and ourselves. Once we do that everything will be okay we just have to have hope we can't lose that," Jasper explained and I nodded into the hug as he was right.
"I'm just scared and so tired," I explained, missing my parents more than ever the skybox was nothing compared to this.
"Listen I'll keep an eye on Myles why don't you get some sleep okay?" Jasper suggested, leading back to the first floor. Setting me up in a hammock I gave him a dazed thank you as my eyes were already closed. Jasper went back up the ladder as he hadn't gotten the gun power he needed. Hearing movement I assumed it as him but as I opened my eyes it was Murphy he was killing Myles. Freezing up I didn't dare move as Murphy had no clue I was there.
Jasper saw it though, glancing at me he quickly looked away realizing Murphy didn't know I was there.
"He stopped breathing I was just-I was trying to help him," Murphy said, letting out a breath I didn't release I was holding my presence still remained unknown. Jasper then glanced at the rifle not far from him and as he went for it Murphy was faster aiming it at him.
"Murphy, just put the gun down," Jasper said and Murphy's eyes softened only for a second though.
"He tried to kill me," He said and Jasper took it as an opportunity to take a big step back toward the opening of the exodus ship. "Don't move!"
"Okay. Okay, it's cool," Jasper said, purposely shifting sides so that Murphy's back was facing me.
"No it's not you know what'll happen to if you tell Bellamy," Murphy said.
"Tell Bellamy what?" I heard Bellamy say through the radio and I felt a flood of relief but it didn't change the fact Jasper and I are in here with Murphy who has a gun.
"Give me the radio Jasper," Murphy said, Jasper was still holding the button in so Bellamy could hear everything. As he didn't lower the gun Jasper slowly lowered finger still on the button.
"Murphy has a gun he killed Myles," Jasper said quickly but Murphy quickly hit him in the jaw with the rifle knocking the radio out of his hand. As fast as possible Murphy closed the exodus ship door.
"Murphy! Murphy!" I could Bellamy screaming from the other side of the door and I cried quietly to myself. As selfish as it sounds as long as he does not know I'm here I am safe. "Open the damn door!"
"Anyone of you tries to be the hero Jasper dies!" Murphy yelled, leaving the camped stunned at the events that were unfolding. It felt like a long time had passed as I stared at Jasper in worry.
"Murphy! Murphy if you hurt either one of them in any way, I swear to god you're dead!" Octavia yelled toward the dropship in anger, watching Murphy he looked confused by her words.
"Who else is in here?" Murphy asked loudly and I froze in place not moving a muscle. "You have three seconds or a bullet goes in Jaspers' head."
"One," He said, I wasn't trying to call his bluff I was just too afraid to move.
"Two," Watching him aim at Jasper my heart racing I could tell Murphy was serious and sure someone was there.
"Thre-"
"Stop!" I said, revealing myself as Jasper was starting to stir awake. The way he looked at me was as if he felt unsure.
"Get back in the hammock," Murphy said and I looked at him confused, had I heard him wrong. "In the hammock now!"
"Okay," I said, climbing back into the hammock he still had the gun aimed at me.
"Look at the wall," He said and my entire body felt as if it grew cold, was he going to kill me.
"Please don't," I cried, turning towards the wall my body shook violently from sobbing.
"Murphy she's harmless stop tormenting her," Jasper said, continuing to cry I just couldn't stop.
"Murphy I know you can hear me. All our ammo and food are in the middle level, you're leaving us vulnerable to an attack I can't let that happen," Bellamy explained into the radio and I slowly looked over at Murphy. Who was now to occupied with Bellamy to care about me, like Jasper said I am harmless.
"Well you're not exactly in control right now," Murphy said and he began staring at me narrowing his eyes. Looking over at Jasper I sighed as he was tied up and helpless.
"Come on Murphy you don't want to hurt Jasper you want to hurt me," Bellamy said and Murphy put the rifle down walked over in front of the hammock.
"What if I want to hurt someone else instead," Murphy said into the radio then he clicked the button held it towards my face and twisted my wrist back.
"Agh!" I screamed in pain and Jasper was screaming at Murphy to leave me alone but it didn't matter.
"Come on Murphy you want to hurt me not her or Jasper. So what do you say? How about you trade (Y/n) for me?" Bellamy offered and Murphy chuckled into the walkie as he grabbed the rifle again.
"Not gonna happen try again. Let's make this fun if you're next offer isn't the right one (Y/n) get's a bullet in her leg you have sixty seconds," Murphy said aiming the gun at my leg.
As the radio went silent Murphy shot a round off above my hammock, "What the hell Murphy?"
"Don't worry she's okay. Thought I'd keep you on your toes," Murphy said with an amused chuckled, putting my head in my hands I just cried to myself.
"Fine trade me for Jasper," Bellamy said and Murphy's end became silent for a second leaving anticipation all outside the dropship. "All you have to do is let him go and I'll take his place."
"How?" Murphy asked looking at Jasper who just stared at me in tears.
"Very simple. You open the door I walk in, he walks out but your not giving me much here on (Y/n) I need to hear her first," Bellamy said and Murphy sighed walking over grabbing pulling my hands from my face he held the radio close.
"Bellamy-" I croaked and then Murphy yanked the radio away. Walking over untying Jasper he opened the dropship and had the rifled trained in my direction.
"Just you Bellamy! Unarmed! Ten seconds or I put one in Sommers," Murphy yelled and then he began counting aloud which terrified me. At any second Murphy could pull that trigger and end my life. Jasper looked at me nervously as he stood at the exit waiting for Bellamy he didn't want to leave me with Murphy. Once Murphy got to five my mouth dried as I felt as if I was already dead.
"I'm here!" I heard Bellamy announce and I sighed with relief as I became worried that he was not going to come. When he walked in Murphy pushed Jasper and clicked the button.
"Tie those belts together," Murphy said with an amused smirk Bellamy looked around for me and as we locked eyes I felt somewhat safer.
"Bellamy? (Y/n)?" We could hear Octavia through the radio and slowly Murphy took one hand off the gun to grab the radio. "Guys are you okay?"
"You want them to know the common girl and their King is alive? Start tying," Murphy said.
"Bellamy! (Y/n)! Do you copy?" Octavia asked and Bellamy crouched and began tying the seat belts. Watching Murphy hit the button Bellamy started talking immediately.
"We're fine. Now stop worrying and get back to work, all of you and tell Raven to hurry her ass up," Bellamy said looking at me and then glancing at the floor which I picked up quickly. Looking around for the hatch I could see it but I was nowhere near it and unlocking it would get us both killed.
"All right that's long enough. Tie those to ends together. Okay now get up and toss it over," Murphy instructed and Bellamy looked up quickly realizing what was happening before tossing it over and Murphy smirked.
"What do you want me to say? You want me to apologize I'm-" Bellamy said stepping forward but Murphy was quick with aiming the rifle, "I'm sorry."
"You got it all wrong, Bellamy. I don't want you to say anything I want you to feel what I felt, and then-then I want you to die," Murphy said and my breath hitched as I locked eyes with Bellamy glancing at the hatch but he lightly shook his head telling me no. Either way, Bellamy was stalling but he's gonna need help.
"What happens to me then?" I asked through deep breaths but Bellamy's eyes were pleading for me to stop.
"That's the thing (Y/n) I'm sorry you're caught up in this. Unfortunately for you, I realized something, he cares about you. So he's going to watch you die and then he's going to die. The best part is I won't even have to touch you, you get in your own head, you're going to die. Now drag that table over and stand on it," Murphy said, looking at Bellamy I knew he wasn't wrong. I could feel my chest tightening and the room was starting to feel smaller.
"(Y/n) you need to calm down," Bellamy said, seeing that I was panicking but watching him on that table with a noose next to him, how could I calm down.
"Put it over," Murphy said, paying no mind to me he knew exactly what was happening.
"This is insane the grounders could-" Bellamy began in response Murphy walked over flipping the hammock making me fallout. As I was already starting to struggle to breathe he placed his foot on my chest.
"Put it over your head or she dies right now," Murphy said, putting some pressure on my chest I wheezed loudly.
"Happy now?" Bellamy asked Murphy's foot left my chest but it did not matter I couldn't breathe, "(Y/n) just-"
"Die," Murphy said, kicking the table from under him, Bellamy struggled hanging by hit throat and Murphy watched enjoying his struggle. My body shaking violently spots danced in my vision eyes blurring something was happening. I could see so many different colors rushing by I was dying.
As you succumbed to unconsciousness a lot happened at once. Raven was shot, Clarke and Finn had just got to gate, and Bellamy was coming too all at once.
"What the hell happened?" Clarke exclaimed as she entered the dropship watching Octavia's failed attempt to give you mouth to mouth
"No time to talk you have to save her," Finn said and Clarke nodded as they both joined your side.
"I need boiled water more herbs and moonshine now!" Bellamy froze and watched them trying to revive you. The feeling that was overcoming him was worse than dread. The guilt was almost nauseating.
"You heard her if you're not on watch this is your job now get to it!" Finn yelled before focusing back onto you.
"How long has it been since she stopped breathing?" Clarke asked and Octavia was quick with an answer as it was dire.
"About two minutes," She said and Clarke began checking for your pulse. Tilting your head back Clarke pinched your nose and blew into your mouth and began doing CPR.
"She lost a pulse after two minutes of lack of oxygen that's because her blood flow probably slowed down. If I can get her breathing again her heart will start pumping blood again at least it should," Clarke explained but as she continued after a minute passed, her eyes were welling up. The two of you weren't even that close and yet she felt terrible. You said you would die and they all told you that you would survive this. Despite no results, Clarke kept trying even through her tears.
"Clarke just stop. It's over Murphy won. I failed her," Bellamy said in defeat, guilt was lingering in his chest. Blocking out his sister as she was telling him this wasn't his fault he knew it was.
"No if we can't save her then there's no hope for the rest of us," Clarke said continuing her CPR on your lifeless body. Blowing into your mouth one more time she brought her hand down on your chest hard. Flinching as her hand connected with your body relief spread around the room like wildfire.
"Ow," I coughed out rolling to my side my whole body ached. Peeking one eye open several of the others were staring at me. They looked sad, except for Finn he just looked relieved.
"We gotta stop meeting like this," He said with a small chuckle, despite my lungs burning I laughed too.
"You died," Bellamy said, leaning my head back onto the floor the feeling of air entering lungs felt heavenly. I could hear Finn telling everyone he would watch over me. Rolling onto my side I could feel a jacket being placed onto my shoulder.
∞
"Hey," Rubbing my eyes Finn was lightly shaking my shoulder.
"Five more minutes," I said, pulling the jacket over my head only for it to be pulled away from me completely, "Please."
"Listen it's been decided it's too dangerous to stay here we're all leaving camp together," Finn said, sitting up looking at him there is no way I heard him correctly.
"What?" I asked, grabbing my hand helping me up we walked out of the dropship onto the ramp. Looking over at Finn he was staring up at the sky, quickly looking away and up at the sky as well the stars were out. Staring at them I could feel a false sense of security washing over me.
"I'm not going to let anything happen to you okay," Finn said, smiling at him I looked back at the sky, "You don't have to say anything or even react to this but I'm falling in love with you."
"Finn," I said, pausing I was not sure what to do. Staring at him, his focus remained on the sky, leaning my head on his shoulder neither of us said anything. Unmoving we stayed like that until it was starting to get light out.
" Pack your things just take what you can carry now," Clarke demanded and everyone dispersed into chatter getting there personal items. Awkwardly looking at each other we both went to gather our things without a word between us. My personal items included my jacket and the folded up grounder picture drawing in my pocket. Leaving my tent the first person I spotted was Bellamy walking over he smiled softly.
"Glad to see you doing better," He said, pulling him into a hug I definitely took him off guard as he jumped. The first few seconds he did not react but in the end, he hugged me back.
"Thanks for trying to protect me," I said, backing away from the hug and he shrugged.
"No worries. If we don't look out for each other who will," He said, nodding my head in agreement a feeling of dread was rising in the pit of my stomach. Looking over at the entrance of our camp I would soon be outside the safety of our walls, "You okay?"
"I will be I think," I said, walking up standing on the other side of me Finn offered a reassuring smile.
"We're in this together okay," He said, looking away from him and back at the entrance all my fears were in front me. Glancing at Bellamy's gun for the first time it was making me feel safe rather than in danger.
"When we least expect it, nature has a cunning way of finding our weakest spot," I said and I could feel both Finn and Bellamy staring at me as I stared at the trees.
"What's that?"
"Read it in a book once."
Part 13
