The Tokyo High School Baseball Fall Tournament as an annual high school baseball tournament. The tournament, organised by the Japan High School Baseball Federation, takes place each year in Tokyo. The top team qualifies for the National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament, commonly referred to as "Spring Kōshien."

The final of the 2014 Tokyo Fall Tournament is remembered as a cornerstone in high school baseball. In a tightly fought match, Seidou High took the game in the last innings on the back of an inspirational double play by short stop Kuramochi Youichi and second baseman Kominato Haruichi.
The same line-up * would then go on to participate in and win the Spring Koshien tournament. This started a 45 game unbeaten streak that was only broken by a surprising, upset loss to Yakushi High School after consecutive Summer Koshien wins. The intuitive use of pitchers and clever, unpredictable leadership of the team set new standards in experimentation and rotation.
Several members of the championship winning team have since gone on to dominate in both the Japanese and American leagues.

Each evening Yajirou dies a death, submerged in the waters of his well. They are often good deaths, ones shone upon by a silver moon that slips down past the twisting, gnarled fingers of the willow and spin across the green-black water. Sometimes, when the air has been thickened by black moods or angry words, he dies a death stench deep in decay. There have been deaths that have happened purely by accident, and Yajirou hasn’t even realised he is dead until he has been then reborn.
For, with each evening that concludes with a death, there is a morning that is met through reincarnation. He slips from the debris of one day – all the emotions, those war torn experiences and the cliché-laden thoughts – and into the blank expanse of the new one. The Knight Captain seemed far too young for his title. There was something in the way he spoke, in how his emotions poured out from him in a rush, and in how he hardly commanded words to describe the trials faced by soldiers beneath him. Something in the sudden easiness that slackened his shoulders the moment someone more self-assured took control. That soft lilt in his voice as he accepted honest offers of aid. The unexpected warmth coloring his words when he treated Hawke as an ally. That hint of shyness, almost virginal.
Ser Cullen was far too young for a knight captain, especially in a city like Kirkwall, but Aveline liked him. He felt familiar the moment they met, someone she understood.
