Why does Gen z get such a bad representation on TV? I can fold a fitted sheet and make homemade stock.

Girlies with PMOS/PCOS are the real girls who shit because inositol ain't for the weak.
i think there's something so special about watching culture shift be documented in real time on the internet
from the nicher micro-communities changing their injokes, to the world at large forgetting its roots how the process of forgetting who you are is quickened by the call of attention, one set of ideals swapped out for the other as what's popular defines what's worth our time
the Bite of '87 turned 10 years old this week, 5 days ago to be exact Undertale turns 10 in September the idea of someone not knowing what these things are won't be so absurd anymore, the new washing over the old
but i think it's beautiful how sometimes as the old move on from the things they founded, people come and pass by to pick apart at what remains, to discover why we loved, and they follow in our footsteps
"The words may change, but the people stay the same." -Moron Police (from Isn't it Easy!, A Boat on the Sea)
selena was right 'what hurts the most is people can go from people you know to people you don't'
thinking about college and school and careers and the future is so ruined for me, because now every time I ask "what do I want to do when I'm older?" "what will life be like in 10 years?" I have to remember that the planet will be fucking destroyed and half the animals are going extinct and my kids will never see snow and I won't be able to own a house or anything of my own because we'll have the great depression round 2 and probably wwIII at the same time so what the fuck is the point yk?
I think Gen Z is so apathetic because most of our parents are Gen X, the latchkey kids who were left home alone by their working parents and developed the “life’s not fair 🤷” mindset that they of course instilled in their kids. Both generations also seem relatively open to change because Gen X had to go through so many changes in their lives without guidance and without control, and Gen Z learned that “whatever” attitude and moves through life with a similar angsty mindset of just saying “mood” and moving on with their life because “what’s the point?”
You can totally see this in books as well. The ones that are written by Gen X (starts around mid sixties) have a lot of that angsty snark that we as Gen Z accept as part of our culture because the characters are our age, but are also a part of Gen X culture.
That’s just my opinion tho. There are always exceptions.
One belief I hold onto with dear life is: when things seem to be falling apart, everything is going to shit, and I’m breaking down, that’s exactly the moment that something amazing is coming my way. Like a rainbow after a storm. I remind myself that the storm is difficult and gloomy. I might wanna cry, do nothing, and feel guilty. But it has come to pass and clear some things along the way.
So feel the fear, the sadness, and the guilt. Lay down and watch the time pass by. Cry yourself to sleep. And through it all, remember that it’s a passing storm with amazing things coming right after. So move through as best as you can🤍
How a Gen Z react being fatally injured and conscious:
Stage 1: In shock
Stage 2: Processing the pain
Stage 3: Calls help
Stage 4: Cry while waiting for help
Stage 5: Is in the hospital and happily joked with others
Stage 6: Extra steps for this is one with friends. Decided to send a picture of the situation to friends because it’s funny
