Pattern Release 6.20.19
It’s time to reset the glaring error counter! Fry is going on vacation for a little less than two weeks and we absolutely forgot to coordinate the Freespace Friday pattern while they are traveling today. So, for the sundae fucks with a cherry on top there will be a bit of a wait until we can recombobulate. However! We still have two patterns that are not lost in transit! As per usual they are pay what you want/what you can. This week we have:
Move to the Moon
Which can be found here.
Gender Prison
Which can be found here. Happy Stitching!
What is beauty? You can replace it with gender.
Great message. Beauty, as it is today, is but a false social construct, telling you that 1) you need to be beautiful to have value 2) you can only become beautiful by buying cosmetics and having your tissues chirurgically and chemically sculpted into a form that is seen as “beautiful” but has nothing to do with how actual people actually look.
It’s funny though that if you change “beautiful” to “feminine”, “masculine”, “man”, “woman” the point still stands. The words have lost their meanings and it’s no longer enough just to *be*. It’s no longer enough to be a woman, you also have to “express your gender identity” and boy you’re in trouble if the industry has decided that the way you *are* is wrong, that the only way you are allowed to be yourself is by mutilating your body. Why? Because the industry earns money by making you feel wrong, by making you hate yourself and your body.
Would you consider gender prison friendly for beginners? I saw it and it very much sparked joy
We would! it has a simple palette and is a manageable size. Lots of small letters can get obnoxious but it’s good for getting the hang of starting and stopping your floss.
