Submission Question
Recently our blog has been receiving lots of submissions which is awesome and a huge thanks to everyone who has been submitting!
We just received a post on genderescence, something neither mod had heard of before. Through some research, we have figured out that it is a term for a person of color or indigenous person who is not cisgender. However, it should be noted that the usage of this word is debated over and many of the blogs and sites we found the word on were sketchy on their support of transgender people.
So the submission has a Japanese character described as genderescent, also involving misgendering and Japanese pronouns. Neither mod Ari nor I are Japanese, and we are not comfortable posting this submission without getting some feedback about the term.
Any comments, concerns, or revelations on this term would be greatly appreciated, and if the submitter of the post would feel comfortable talking to us about it, that would be very helpful.
