Sue Raney "Alive And In Love" 最後の3枚目は、もう一人の私のアイドル、スーちゃんの代表作。 これもいつかは！と思っていた私にとっては待望のアルバム。ですが、ジャズっぽくないポピュラー・ソング集でした... 。 ただし、この3枚のような寛容さもジャズの魅力！何がジャズ？と問われても、その垣根が説明出来ません。 でもやっぱり私は、ジャズらしいジャズが心地よいです。 1966年1月1日リリース、録音年月日は残念ながら不明。 ♀ボーカルコレクションNo.65。 Imperial ‎– LP-9323で、オリジナルかどうか不明ですが、Printed in U.S.A.で重量盤。 何はともあれ針を落とすと、音質は左右のStereoセパレーションや分解能が高く、とてもクリア。軽めの音質ですが、ナチュラルで秀逸だと思います。例えばMonophonicの女性ヴォーカル・アルバムを聴いた後だと、とても綺麗な音質と透き通るような歌唱に清々しささえ感じてしまいます。比較的に演奏の音量が大きいのは、私的には好みです。 楽曲は聴き覚えのある曲も多いので、ジャズとか思わずに、構えずにさらっとBGMのように聴くのがベターでは。 1957年に17歳でCapitalからレコード・デビュー、Philipsを経てImperial移籍後第一弾となる通算5枚目のアルバムが本作で、ドリーミーな逸品との評価。 ジャケットのロケーションとポーズはちょっと意味不明ですが、内容的にはジャズのアルバムではなくて、ポップス・アルバムの趣き。オーケストラや女性コーラスも加わった演奏をバックに、全体にソフトで優雅な雰囲気。 冒頭のボサノヴァからやられますが、有名な疾走ソフト・ロックSide 1-6"(There's) Always Something There To Remind Me"や3曲のバカラック・カヴァーは秀逸！ あぁこの曲とお馴染みの1-2 "Any Old Time Of Day"は、オリジナルのディオンヌ版のアレンジですが、アップテンポでノリがいい歌唱、ストリングスの響きやオーボエのアクセントも効果的。ライナーの解説｢アルバムいちの人気曲｣も納得の盤イチ。 Producer - #MarshallLeib Arrangers - #RalphCarmichael  (1-3,2-1,2,5)、#EddieKaram  (1-2,6,2-3,6)、#GenePage  (1-1,4,5,2-4) Art Direction - #WoodyWoodward Cover & Back Photography - #IvanNagy Side 1-1 "Who's Afraid" 1-2 "Any Old Time Of Day" 1-3 "I'm Looking" 1-4 "Little Things Mean A Lot" 1-5 "Once Upon A Time Impossible" 1-6 "(There's) Always Something There To Remind Me" Side 2-1 "Now Is The Hour (Maori Farwell Song)" 2-2 "Before The Rain" 2-3 "Smile" 2-4 "My Love, My Love" 2-5 "Goodbye Darling, Hello Friend (C'est Fini)" 2-6 "Walk On By" #jazz #fuzey #vinyl #jazzvinyl #vinylcollection #jazzrecords #recordcollection #jazzvocal #ジャズヴォーカル #ジャズ #スイングジャーナル #レコード *作品を知るとジャズはもっと輝きます。情報くださる先輩諸氏に感謝。 https://www.instagram.com/p/CM6cu6CMq81/?igshid=quloujh8tevs
