And that’s the best-of from this year. You can see bits where I’m getting more comfortable futzing around with water media, especially near the end. I’ll try to avoid taking so long that I need to scan the entire sketchbook next time, with any luck.

I also finally got a damn fountain pen near the end, accounting for the really awful handwriting tests I did of crudely translated Wikipedia articles. That doesn’t explain why Ian’s lurking on the side there though.

...At this point you can see I started discovering that a General’s Sketch & Wash watersoluble graphite pencil can actually be hit with some water to generate some nice tones. This is going to be a thing you’ll be seeing more of as I go.
