👵🧓 The Grandparents Challenge – Sims 4 Family Legacy
Goal: Start with a young couple and grow their family until they become grandparents. Watch your legacy unfold through at least three generations!
🏠 Setup
Create Two Sims
One male and one female (can be married, engaged, or dating).
Both must be Young Adults or Adults.
Give them realistic starting traits like Family-Oriented, Ambitious, Creative, Romantic, etc.
Move into a Starter Home
Budget: 20,000 simoleons max.
You may build or pick a pre-made lot.
💼 Career Rules
The male Sim must get a full-time job (your choice — e.g. Business, Military, or Criminal if you want drama 😏).
The female Sim can also get a job, but it’s optional. If not, she must maintain the home (gardening, painting, cooking, writing, etc.).
No money cheats (except to fix bugs).
👶 Family Rules
The couple must have 1–5 children.
You must raise all of them to adulthood — no aging cheats.
At least 3 of the children must have kids of their own (making your first Sims grandparents).
Once grandchildren exist, your original Sims officially become Generation 1 Grandparents!
👨👩👧👦 Generational Goals
GenerationGoalGen 1: The Founders Build the family home, raise 1–5 kids, ensure 3 kids (if you had more than 3, if not the kids you have must have kids) have children of their own. Gen 2: The Parents Each child who has kids continues the family. Choose one of their households to play next. Gen 3: The Grandchildren Grow up and carry on the family legacy!
💰 Challenge Rules
No moving in extra Sims unless through marriage.
You can’t use aging off — keep it realistic.
Each generation must live in the same house or an upgraded version of it.
You must keep one family heirloom (photo, urn, item) per generation.
You can only move to a bigger lot once the family earns enough money naturally.
