ok since there’s two of em, and they’re about the same length of that pacific rim fusion au i have, i’m gonna post one here, and try to summarize it as best as i can. i’ll post the other one in response to another ask i got! (also i’m flattered that more than one of yall was interested uwu)

the first one is an au based on the movie ‘The Swan Princess’ that came out in 1994, which itself was based off the ballet Swan Lake. galo and lio are princes of neighboring allied kingdoms who grow up visting each other during the summer, as their parents hope they’ll fall in love and marry to unite the kingdoms. who visits who is switched every summer. the first time the two of them met, they instantly hated each other, but their feelings changed as they grew older and fell in love. however, one year while galo is the one visiting lio’s kingdom, they have a huge fight, ending up in galo’s family leaving before the end of the summer.

before galo can make it home, his caravan is ambushed by dark sorcerer kray, who tried to overthrow galo’s father for his kingdom years ago, although he was caught and subsequently banished. krays powers had grown, and he could now transform himself into a terrible beast called the centauri. (did i use centauri bc omega centauri? maybe.)

though galo and his father fight valiantly, kray ends up getting the better of them. galo’s father is fatally injured, and galo himself is taken by kray. lio finds galo’s father, who’s last words are “Find the centauri... Find my son... But the beast is not what it seems...”

lio searches for galo for months, finding no trace. eventually, his mother tells him he should move on, but he refuses, though he does stop sending out search parties. he himself continues to hunt for the centauri, and prepares for the day he finally finds it.

meanwhile, kray has been holding galo captive, and cast a spell that turns him into a swan during the day, and only lets him turn back human if he sees moonlight on the lake where he’s being kept, called swan lake. every night, kray asks galo to marry him so he can legally rule his kingdom. every night, galo firmly refuses, and is left to transform back into a swan upon daylight. while he’s being held at swan lake, galo meets lucia, a self absorbed frog convinced she’s a princess, remi, a super smart as well as super fast turtle, and aina, a puffin fantastic at pulling flying stunts.

of course, galo being galo, he’s been looking for lio too, when he can manage to slip away from kray. after he meets aina, he starts bringing her along. one day, galo & aina manage to stumble upon lio and his 2 best friends, gueira and meis, out hunting. lio has figured out that the centauri is a shapeshifter, but he mistakes galo for it. he tries to shoot galo, who narrowly avoids the arrow, and starts a chase back to swan lake.

galo reaches the lake just as night falls, and transforms back into himself as lio arrives, hot on his heels. they have a joyful reunion, in which lio invites galo to his castle the next night so that they might talk to lio’s mother, a powerful witch in her own right, and find a way to break galo’s curse. galo agrees, and lio leaves reluctantly to prepare for tomorrow night. galo is ecstatic.

until kray sweeps in, revealing that he heard their entire conversation. he tells galo that he’ll never make it lio’s kingdom for there would be “No moon for you tomorrow night.”

lio, back in his kingdom, talks to his mother and discovers that vowing his everlasting love would break the curse. he immediately orders a ball to be prepared for tomorrow night, so that he might make his vow in front of the whole world. biar, kray’s spy, overhears this and rushes back to her master.

when he hears biar’s words, kray is furious. this could ruin all of his plans! and then he gets an idea. he could transform someone else into galo! an easy feat for a dark sorcerer of his power. as he goes about preparing for his plan, he finds meis and gueira in the woods around the lake, and throws them into the dungeon of an abandoned castle by the lake. the next day, he throws galo into a different area of the dungeon so he can’t interfere.

he then transforms biar into galo, who heads towards lio’s castle for her part of the plan. she acts suitably surprised at the ball that lio prepared, and starts dancing with lio, who is unaware of anything wrong.

back at the lake, galo has been frantically trying to escape, and finally manages it when lucia, aina, and remi show up to help him out, after they had an intense battle with a couple crocodiles trying to keep them out. galo, unable to transform, flies as fast as he can to lio’s castle, yet he arrives too late. lio makes his vow to who he thinks is galo, only to have biar reveal herself and tell lio that he was tricked.

galo is heartbroken, and enraged with kray. he heads back to the lake, with lio following, having caught sight of galo out of one of the windows. they reach the lake, and even upon seeing moonlight touch it’s waters, galo cannot turn back.

kray appears, taunting the both of them, and lio demands he lift the curse. kray reveals himself as the centauri in response, and they fight, with galo helping lio as best he can. kray manages to overpower lio, but galo’s friends have found lio’s bow and return it to him. gueira and meis, having managed to break out of the dungeons as well, hand lio a magic arrow his mother made.

lio manages to fire the arrow straight into kray’s heart, but as he does, galo jerks as if he was shot too, and falls motionless. lio, heartbroken, cradles galo in his arms and confesses his love. long seconds pass before lio notices galo glowing, and galo returns to life with the curse upon him lifted.

the two return to their kingdoms, get married, and live happily ever after. :)
