There's a german critter meet-up at the Connichi in Wiesbaden tomorrow and I was real tempted to go ngl... Wiesbaden feels so close (and if you have a car, it is! 50 minutes close!) But as it is, I'd have to try my luck with the DB and the best case scenario is two hours 💀 IN cosplay??? I don't think so 😭

But this is a psa for anyone whose travel to Wiesbaden would be less arduous (commercial break to shout-out autocorrect for trying to turn that into "amorous") I asked on the intagram post and apparently the meet-up isn't directly on the grounds of Connichi so you could just go without a con ticket!

I've been watching the German and French dubbed versions of TLOVM, and I do enjoy both of them a lot!

Yet, the German version (maybe the French version too? I am not too sure I got it right) got the bit at the end of episode 8 wrong where Scanlan says "cause fuck me, that's why", when he realises there's zombies in town. He means something like of course, this might just as well happen to me.

But in the German version, Scanlan says "get in line", meaning if you want to fuck me, zombies, you better get in line 😆

Which is quite a Scanlan thing to say, to be fair, but just not accurate this time

Back on Krieg's VA: okay I was leaning Bavarian or Schwabian (I lived near Stuttgart for a year so I have a little bit of a feel for it), maybe it was just a hint of it. The rest of them were Hochdeutsch because I could understand them without problems lol

Yeah definitely, german dialects are brutal to understand 😅 even for native speakers
