Gerome keeps his mask on a lot not only because he likes his distance, but also because

he has bad eyes.

he's far-sighted and that is like completely shitty for a wyvern fighter in general.

so he keeps his mask on because he literally would be useless without it.

also, sharp collarbone. everything about gerome is sharp and pointy and could hurt you if you don't touch it right.

inigo is all "challenge accepted" on that shit let me tell you

after they begin courting people, sometimes inigo sleeps over in his tent because gerome can't be bothered to kick him out

he wakes up with perfect hair

because inigo is like "dang look at all this hair" and starts finger combing it and gerome could fall asleep to it were it not for the raging teenage boner it's giving him

so in the end he has perfect hair and gets perfect blowjobs, the best of both worlds
