The lovely folks over at Michaels invited a bunch of local bloggers in to get a sneak peek at 1 of the of their 27 newly renovated stores in the Boston area, enjoy some refreshments, and take part in fun little DIY project. It was so great to run in to some old bloggy friends (Alana, Holly & Emily) that I haven't seen much recently, catch up on each others lives and laugh over how bad we were at crafting.
I have been a long time fan of Michaels but am thrilled to see the new improvements they have made to their stores to make it easier to shop - wider aisles, brighter stores, more organized materials, etc. Plus, they have increased their home decor section - which I just love!
On Sunday, May 4 the 27 Boston-area stores will unveil their new look with a grand re-opening. Festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:45am, and doors open at 10am. Michaels will be giving away more than $1000 in gift cards at each store!!
