I've been talking about this a lot in the past, but maybe this time will have a better impact, and you start doing it. For example, one of my clients, Elaine, recently told me about how she dropped 5 lbs in 2 or 3 weeks. Well, now, while that's not a ton of weight, you may think ... is actually a very healthy amount of fat loss... The interesting thing was she said she's done this while not tracking calories at all. And she's actually been eating a more "unclean" diet than usual. (Her diet is typically super clean, so even "unclean" to her is pretty dang healthy – but I divagate.) Oh yeah, and she did this without working out at all. Not a single minute in the gym. And she didn't even break a sweat. So, how'd she done it? Well, she said, she's just been taking more walks as I always encouraged her to do! And since it's Winter where she is, more like a late Autumn, I would say it's a crisp 10-12 degrees Celsius. So even taking an hour walk doesn't make her sweat. That's it. I know it might seem anti-climactic, but it's always a good reminder that simple walking can burn a ton of calories. So many, in fact that Elaine didn't even "outeat" her daily calorie burn with her non-strict eating. So, if you can get out today, a walk will not only burn calories – but can help decrease stress levels. Even if it's just 15 minutes! Feeling better DOES NOT come before action is taken. 2021 isn't over yet. There are almost 7 weeks left.
