So I was talking to my manager at my new job, and she was explaining pay and everything and here in California I think the general minimum wage is $9.25?? give or take a few cents

But obviously in the city it's more expensive because cost of living w/e so I'm pretty sure it's like $11something last time I checked

And we get tips and stuff and I get maybe like $15-$20 in tips every day just from cash, but like barely anyone pays with cash anymore so she was breaking it down and pretty much say that while I'm making like $11/hour I'm really making $20/hour after tips??

while i was out before filming a bit of closed pub for my bleaklyf in northern england movie a man started saying to me "youre not thinking of leasing this are you? its a lost cause, its all rotten on the inside, the upstairs is collapsing.." and i thought what a great allegory for this whole thing im gonna try and fit his speech in somewhere if its recorded well enough
