I've had the worst writer's fatigue (not even block, just... bleh) this month, but I'm so proud of myself for the patreon story. I loved it. I really miss writing every day, and I don't know how to get back to doing it. I feel like my brain has been fried and I don't know how to get it to calm down long enough to start focusing again. uhgggggggggggg

Anyway, I'm taking my motorbike to Wales for a week soon, and I'm gonna take some time out and chill, and then I'll be back in the second half of May, feeling hopefully refreshed and ready to write all the Mermay stories.

I wanna explore a BIG alligator merman, and another leopard seal selkie, but I'm open to suggestions for merfolk to consider for Mermay fun.

I've paused my motorcycle instagram page and returned to the murky blue waters of Tumblr and... already I feel better. I wasn't trying to do anything fancy on Insta, just sharing my bike journey and funny shenanigans, and I've met some amazing people through it, but the vibes of Tumblr remain unmatched.

It's like returning to the cool of a mossy forest after spending time in a brightly coloured meadow full of fast-blooming wildflowers and flashy insects that come and go in the blink of an eye. Now I'm back among the shadows and the cryptids and the ancient, gloomy caves, and it's... it's like coming home.

I've missed you.

I don't normally like to single out one comment over others because all comments and all feedback and all engagement from you folks are so so so precious to me, but this one from Chapter Eight just sent me to a happy place in a way I can't quite articulate.
