Fun fact: Greece and Cyprus share the same national anthem. In a first in basketball history, Greece and Cyprus matched up during the first round of Eurobasket 2025 taking place in Limassol Cyprus, and so the national anthem was performed once for both teams. In fact, FIBA agreed to Cyprus' request to have a live performance of the anthem by a Cypriot singer for this special moment, instead of playing the standard track as is typical in Europe.
