I plant a lot of crops. My fields are very large, so I can fit big blocks of the same kind of crop in one place, since that looks lovely when they’re growing and I just like to keep things organized. Most of the time, I’m growing crops that will keep producing all month long, like Blueberries or Corn.

In Spring, the choices are a little limited in that regard. There are Strawberries, but you have to buy them at an event half way through the month, and I had not bought enough extras the year before to really make a go at producing an all Strawberry farm for the month. There are also Greenbeans, available at Pierre’s, but when they’re planted they are impossible to walk through and don’t work in my fields very well.

So I planted cauliflower. Lots and lots of it. My one hope was to produce one of those giant crops, as seen above. They are hilariously massive and actually break down into more crops than if you picked the nine it takes to create it. This is actually the second one I’ve ever gotten, as I started with the re-growing crops pretty early in my game file.

The first one was a melon, and they’re even better than the cauliflower. Not for any legitimate, monetary reason, but because they look like giant pink asteroids.

Oh yeah, so you have to harvest these Giant Crops with an axe, of all things, and when you hit it, it will explode into 18 regular size ones.
