Morning Earworm: I keep watching season 3 of Riverdale, despite the fact that (or because?) I roll my eyes at nearly every other line. Never been much of a Grimes fan and the lyric “what will it take to make you capitulate” certainly elicited some eyerolls the first time I heard this song. Other standard Industrial-Synthesque Pop parts of it, like the title lyric, keep getting stuck in my head and that’s fine. This song scored a montage where Jughead’s do-gooder thugs bust up drug corners run by a gang called the Gargoyles. Said corners are easy, and I mean *easy* to find because instead of the classic tied-together shoes thrown over a telephone line, these hot spots are marked by gargoyle statues that are somehow tied together. This show is not known for its subtlety, but dang. I imagined someone missing the power lines on their first try and cracking a statue or severely damaging a car.
