do you think fka twigs new video is futurist, or like, the opposite?

well idk about opposite but i think its more just a different thing, its like more ‘fantasy’ than ‘futuristic/scifi which is what i try to go for on this blog.

It is said that the looks were partly inspired by Queen of the Dammed the movie Aaliyah played a aincent vampire in and its quite easy to see that

and imo it also gave me lots of MJ’s ‘Remember the time’ vibes with all the Egypt like aesthetics and the bronzy/earthy color scheme

So i wouldn’t say its particularly futurist its more like ‘aincent fantasy’ but its definitely surreal and interesting! A lovely visual.
