I made him myself, but I think the scarf's a bit too big. I'm knitting a skinnier one and of course, I'm making a Moomintroll!!!
I even gave this Snufkin a pointy nose!!!
I was asked to make poppets. I reminded everyone that I work in the astral, primarily, and I have no need for poppets. I can feel out the energy I need and work my spells that way. They told me poppets were a requirement to move forward.
I don’t hate poppets. In fact, I love poppets. Back when I used to do some role playing, I had a character that used to make poppets all the time for everyone. He would give them as gifts and then not tell them what was inside of the doll fashioned to look like them, so they never knew if it was a blessing or a curse to receive one.
The little doll in Mulan stuck with me a lot more than some other parts of the movie.
Scrump is a sought after doll for my collection.
One day I wondered if I could sew. I’d always wanted to try but the fact that it seemed to be a mostly ‘feminine’ activity kept me away from it for years and years. I was afraid I would be wasting money on supplies. I figured I wouldn’t be good at it because I am not good at art in general.
It turns out I can sew and I really enjoy doing it as well. I still don’t like that I have to make poppets but I certainly enjoy doing it for fun.
