Reasoning: So remember Suncat, how I said she was a vessel for a "God" that feeds on her? This BABY was her successor, aka she suffered the same fate - only this Suncat died really young, as a kitten. And also her mother and littermates were all killed soon after she was born.

(She also doesn't have a name, Gingerling or Gingersun is what I've seen the readers call her, to avoid confusion with the "main" Suncat.)
