Ginny Weasley x Tom Riddle Fanfic Recs (Gin n Tonic)
Finding Tom and Ginny fanfics can be hard so here’s a list of some of my favs.
Underworld by Tara1189
Summary: "I rather like having you down here. Like Persephone." Ginny/Tom
Why read it? This was the very first Gin n Tonic fanfic I read and sent me hurtling down the Ginny/Tom ship (there is no escape now). This story is dark and beautifully written. It explores the what if Ginny never escaped the Chamber. If you're a lover of Hades/Persephone legend you'll love this. The authors portrayal of Tom is dark and captivating and her imagery is wonderful. I highly recommend reading any of this authors work. She has a few other Gin n Tonic fanfics, all of which are as amazing as this one.
Authors other Gin n tonic stories: Tempus, Venom, and Lullaby. All are complete, unique and dark.
The Law of Complementary Colors by could-have-beens (eryn_laegolas)
Summary: Tom is determined to reclaim his past. Ginny is just as determined to change his future.
Why read it? My favourite 😍 It's wonderfully written with an interesting plot. The author takes her time to develop all the characters in such a believable way and she has a skill for making you care about all the characters. Her portrayal of Tom is spectacular - he's intelligent, cunning, manipulative but you can also see the young boy that he is and understand how a boy was set down the road of becoming a monster. It's a slow burn romance - enemies to friends to lovers. Ginny and Tom's dynamic is fascinating. It's like a game of chess and smoke and mirrors.
Bonus Points: Great humour and banter. Long, detailed, and well-written. Author has a clear wealth of knowledge and love for the franchise and there is a lot of care put into the story. Spot on humour and the pacing is perfect.

Why read it? This one-shot is wonderfully dark and mysterious. It’s a canon divergance story that takes place in a world where the horcrux Tom Riddle has won and kept Ginny by his side. Tom has been keeping many secrets from Ginny and It’s tense watching Ginny discover the truth of the man she is with. You’re kept on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.

Summary: Tom has always loved Ginny. That didn't stop him from keeping a secret or two from her.
Why read it? Do you like darker stories? Do you love muggle AUs? Then you’ll love this! Tom is passionately and obsessively in love with his friend Ginny and will do pretty much anything within his power to keep her. Not a story for the light hearted - the villain wins in this one. Beautifully written and a captivating read.
Fire & Ice by PlonkerOnDaLoose
Summary: Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. Ginny Weasley burns for revenge and Tom Riddle is frozen in time. When two forces of nature collide, destruction is assured.
Why read it? This story follows Ginny who has gone back in time to stop Tom and after his future self won. This story is brilliant and delves into the social politics of Hogwarts, mainly that of the Slytherin students and the constant power struggles. The character portrayals are unique and vibrant and fun to read about and everyone has interesting dynamics with other characters. Ginny and Tom’s chemistry is off the charts and their power struggle is exciting to read. Sadly, the story seems to be abandoned but what has been written is great and worth the read.
The Lesser Evil by FireAngel23
Summary: PostHogwarts. Ginny finds herself in a complicated position when a secret society is baying for her blood, soon, it seems everyone who she loves wants her dead. Her only option is to trust the lesser evil....Slight AU
Why read it? If you want a reeeeally dark story this would be it. Sadly, it’s only got one chapter but what has been written is interesting and makes me wish there was more.
