Backstory: No one knows quite where Giresion came from. He just showed up in one of the villages as a child. The villagers took care of him while he was growing up, always making sure he had a place to stay and food to eat. Growing up he bore witness to a lot of the things that happened out in the Outlands. This led him to start the Rebellion.

Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
How does your character's past affect their actions and thoughts?
Since I just did introductions I'll do this for my characters Shelbee, Uri, and Giresion from In the Shadow of the Outlands:
Because of her past Shelbee lives in a constant state of caution, as if something is always bound to go wrong. The only time she ever allows herself to be even the least bit relaxed is in her own home.
Because of their past Uri feels guilt. Even though they know that they weren't at fault for what their parents and kingdom did, they feel as though their ignorance is part of what allowed it to continue.
Because of his past Giresion feels this need to protect those living outside the cities walls. They were the ones who helped raise him and kept him safe and healthy throughout his childhood and teenage years. Now he wants to repay that by helping and protecting them.
