i love girlmatt to be so clear, she’s very very real to me. i also believe there’s a beautiful universe where girljay comes into being as well. i think there’s… well… a lot of factors that explain why jay is Like That, but sometimes when i’m in that headspace i look at his sad, tired eyes and wonder if he’d be happier if he transitioned. she’d certainly be less angry, and hopefully less anxious about how she’s perceived. she might stand straighter and walk with purpose, rather than aimlessly sloping through life. but also it’s so fun when jay’s scared of/repressing something (s)he’s not even totally cognisant of… >:)
