the fact that aki literally sold his body in exchange for a place to stay and just to get by for years after his parents abandoned him and even then, he didn’t want haruki to see that part of him. he didn’t want haruki to see the darkest side of him because he wanted to be someone haruki could love even if he was faking it
the fact that even after he left that life behind, he still worked to become someone worthy of harukis love
