Santa Lucia day (also known as St Lucy's Day) is a feast day in honor of St Lucia, one of the earliest christian martyrs. Traditionally observed as a christian feast day, the holiday has since grown and changed to become more secular over time, and is now celebrated as a festival of light in preparation of the winter solstice and darkest night of the year.

The holiday is most popular in Scandinavian countries, but is celebrated throughout much of the world. I have fond memories of celebrating with my family and friends, growing up in Minnesota.

In my D&D campaign's setting of Omnia, Santa Lucia Day is known as Lux Mia, and celebrated in honor of Mia, the goddess of light. The holiday is mainly celebrated in my artificer's home country of Northyor.
