Mikoto’s brow furrowed ever so slightly with concern. While she would hardly call herself a martyr -she was far from it- she couldn’t ignore a lost child either.
And there were so many of them...
Where did they all come from?
“It is. You’re at a place called Iwakiri Academy. I’m a teacher here.”

And here he’d thought he wouldn’t see such a thing.
Not in the way transformation techniques were done in class, no- but in the way the person had been completely turned into a child.
Or so he’d thought. He couldn’t be sure unless he asked.
So he approached the young girl, tentative. It was her distinctive red hair that had initially garnered his attention- then her glasses, then her overall physical appearance. She looked like the red-haired elder he had encountered not too long ago, but much younger.
“Karin-san, is that you?”

A mild sense of disappointment settled in the boy. It wasn’t the Uzumaki elder he knew, it definitely wasn’t- although the woman before him was quite pretty too.
She had very distinctive eyes.
“... No...” he said quietly. “I guess not. I’m sorry; you just looked like someone I know for a moment there.”
It had been quite presumptuous of him, but Iwakiri was a strange place and Kushina was the only person he knew with hair like that.

Just wanted to let you know that since Naruto Gaiden is coming out tomorrow I'm holding off on my app on the unlikely chance it might change Karin's backstory! But either way I will be good to go tomorrow :3
