Color tests complete for this batch. All Mason stains, From left to right- 6274 Nickel Silicate, 6404 Vanadium, 6450 Praaeodymium. I will increase the percentage a bit to see if I can get a deeper color in the Nickel and Praseo. Not sure if the Praseo I is burned out in this glaze or if this is how it's supposed to look. Looking forward to working further with these colors! Due to increasing cost and all around studio problems with Lithium, I'm eliminating it from my Satin Matte glaze formula. This has been my main research for this quarter in Ceramic Materials Workshop taught by Matt and Rose Katz. Their abilities to teach glaze chemistry in a very understandable manner has enabled me to change my glaze formulas using science and chemistry instead of just throwing chemicals around with guesswork and rumors. Science is real. These are color runs for four of the test formulas i deemed succesful.
