i did not . and this is not our NYC . . . there is something wrong with our connection . . . everything is uncertain . . . investigate immediately .

the star-covered spider rests a hand on the brick wall of the building she rests upon, having shifted to what she had assumed was her next task but instead seemed to be . . . off .

“ ok yeah, i’m sure it’s just some sort of interference, don’t freak out . we’ll just talk to the first hero we come acr - ”

she ceases her soliloquy when a flash of green soars above her head landing upon the ledge above her . assessing the newcomer, she realizes that they also appear to have used webbing and some aspects of their costume are distantly familiar and sense of deja vu runs coldly up her spine . shaking it off, pilar decides that this person is most definitely a hero, or she’d eat her hat . or she would if she had one.

“no! please! don’t hurt me!” she cried, hands raised as she kept her feline eyes hidden by her turned away face. so scared she sounded. so sincere. as if she was truly afraid of being mugged or something. but her stance was poised, her goal clear in her mind, her power itching to be let loose. the diamonds weighing heavy in her purse reminding her that her hide was on the line should she fail this exam.
