glowingeyedgoddess:
“Ah yes, there are always a few weak minded deviants, Egeria was one herself after all. I guessed that she was defective, but not by how much.” She smirked, reaching down to coyly trail a finger under Malek’s chin, amused by his stubborn resistance.
“Your kind will be eliminated long before that happens. I alone spawn more in a single month than are left of your kind in the entire galaxy. It is a battle you cannot win.” It was a simple mathematical certainty even before the fleets and armies of the System lords were applied, only fools would try to resist that and she did not think this one a fool. Misguided perhaps, but she had ample tools to correct that.
“Why bother to resist? Surely it would be simpler to kneel and serve your Queen. Renounce the Tok’ra and spend an eternity at my side.”
Those words enraged Malek, for it was left to him out of all the Tok'ra to defend what Egeria had been in her last days, especially if this would surely be his end. He suspected that Astarte was only seeking to elicit an emotion him, but this was an attempt he refused to merely take for the sake of frustrating her plans.
His eyes blazed in a surge of indignant pride and he tilted his head to give her a satirical smile he did so enjoy giving the Goa’uld. “Egeria’s strength and vision lives, and for as long as it does we shall crush your young and turn away your Jaffa from beneath you. May the blood and flesh of your children feed the rebellion of your slaves.”
