glykopoleio
continuing my search for new places (or rather places that I haven’t been to yet)! last night, after cooking dinner (I think I cooked food for the rest of the week including the weekend:), I visited “glykopoleio” for take away orange pie. a cute, small place, just off makarios avenue in limassol, with a very kind lady behind the counter, working non-stop preparing these mouthwatering loukoumades with all sorts of toppings: honey, crashed almonds, nutella, white chocolate... you name it! I was not so tempted to change my mind, rather I insisted on my orange pie target and I ordered two pieces (ok one was for me, not both!). I was tempted though to try the chocolate pie too (I’m a chocolate kind of girl), and the nice lady, gave me that piece as a treat!
I really liked the orange pie and K did too. very moist, just right, not too sweet, not too heavy in taste you know. I will be back for this one. but before I do that, I found a recipe and I will try to make it. I tried it once a long time ago. let’s see.
so from what I noticed, loukoumades are most popular here and crepes too. they also serve coffees and soft drinks.
