she's been in gaenari all her life, she plays in a rock band with some friends and is also a musician for hire for the local bars when she's not on shift at player piano, aaaaand she has her walls up at all times so making friends is going to be a challenge wahoo!

LEE MINSI can be found meandering the streets downtown or on the clock, pampering pets at pet shop & supplies. regardless of where she's found, it's more likely than not, she's humming a tune or singing to whoever or whatever will listen. on the off-chance one can get the twenty - five year old woman to settle in for deep conversation, it's clear why the preferred mode of communication is song (or silence). the word vomit is atrocious!

has a younger brother (12), an older sister (28) and his mum works at an eatery
his older sister is married with a son and he dotes on his nephew (5) a lot
seungjae grew up in a middle class family
at 13, his dad got a gambling addiction that basically tore apart the family and had them in debt
debt collectors began chasing after them and his mum and dad got into a huge fight
( TW: domestic abuse ) their fight got really heated and seungjae jumped in to protect his mother. he ended up with a scar running down his back. his father never lifted a finger against them again ( TW END )
at 16, his father wins the lottery and seungjae thinks that it’s a happy ending!!! but the fairytale only lasts a while before his father starts throwing money at him and the rest of the family and is never at home
seungjae’s hanging out with his friends after school when he catches his father going into a motel with a much younger woman
he tells his mother and his parents get divorced
his father is still trying to get in touch with seungjae from time to time but seungjae mostly ignores him

now for dear noel, here ; he's a confident guy that is searching for his little brother, he's fun, maybe a bit sus at times, but eager to know everyone <3 ♡
the firstborn of a prestigious family and a pillar to his father, noel grew up with luxuries and a blade against his throat. he was loved, cared for, manipulated, and corrupted; diluted, like ink drowning in water. his family’s acceptance and adoration came at the price of perfection.
noel is an artist: he paints, he draws, he sculpts, he builds – art has been a passion and his talent since he figured out how to hold a pencil. despite having natural talent, he stayed up endless nights working to perfect every medium he tried. he also learned the piano at his father’s request, as he deemed it a necessary skill to impress at parties and to brag about to his business partners. art is also how he found what he loves doing most – tattooing. easles were lovely, but to carry art and have it be a part of you, now that was exciting.
he managed to begin an apprenticeship at 17 (in secret), the local tattoo shop becoming his home away from home. he spent his afterschool afternoons in there, using the excuse of extra credit or some fancy sounding club. the owner, Enrique, wasn’t that much older than him. he was a tall, burly man in his late twenties and noel immediately took a liking towards him, and with his guidance, noel became a recognized tattoo artist over the years.
piercings came much later, after he’d made himself known in both social media and the community. it happened the same as it did with tattooing, there was just a beauty to it. the cultural significance of both was clear and that made him want to appreciate the craft and learn how to do them.
personality wise, he’s unapologetically sarcastic though he mostly doesn’t mean any harm; coy glances and smug grins over a glass of wine are his signature, but he finds peace in listening to the reasoning behind a person’s tattoo or body mod - they’re sacred to him, so every detail that gets explained fills his eyes with tremendous joy. he’s not much of a committed relationship kind of guy, so any intimate relationships he has are mostly casual and he’s very strict about that. there might be an opportunity for him to find love, but it’s not his priority currently.
noel finds social gatherings incredibly amusing: he’s charming, eloquent, and perhaps enjoys causing an impression on people a tad too much. he puts himself out there and he enjoys all the stares directed his way, be they in approval or in judgment, he basks in the attention that he gets just by being himself.
addiction is no stranger to him, be it to substances or pain itself, he indulges in every sin known to mankind, and he enjoys doing so with company.
his years of freedom ended when he began working for his father as an ‘assistant’ after finishing his masters at 27, doing all this dirty work and being the son his father carefully crafted the moment he was born. it was a difficult transition, losing part of his innocence and soul to what his father made him do; his family’s fortune was made of blood, and now he was also part of it. he learned the secret workings of society, all the violence and crime became second nature.

⨯ friends ; noel loves his friendships, and because he's new in town he's going to want to connect with people. be it through online games, at a coffee shop, at the art gallery, someone visiting the tattoo shop and striking a conversation with him - he's extremely easy to get along with !

born to a family of middle class parents somewhere in the suburbs of seoul. she lived a modest life with her family and the only struggles that they had were occasionally money problems.
however, her parents’ relationship began to crumble as money became even more of a problem and it seemed like sohee’s happy time was only at school. she wasn’t the best student out there, but she was above average, so she preferred to bury herself in school work and interact w her teachers.
that’s when she decided that she’d found her calling: to become a teacher. she wasnt 100% sure of it till the moment when she was asked to babysit her nephews in her teenage years and that’s how she figured it out: she wanted to be a kindergarten teacher.
as years went by, her parents’ marriage seemed to mend and their money problems were little to non existent. however, one day, they found out that some distant relative ( yes, i AM pulling that move ) had passed away and sohee would inherit it all at the age of 18 !!
obviously, inheriting a fortune saved the family from all of their worries and gave them the feeling of security. one would have expected them to take advantage of the sudden $$$ that they got, but they managed to control themselves and only use the amount needed to better their lives without going overboard.
sohee went w her plan of becoming a kindergarten teacher and soon moved to live by herself in gangnam ( close to the kindergarten she started to work at this year, after finishing her studies ). for additional income ( aka to use as less as possible from her inheritance ), she tutors children, teaching them english whenever she has free time !

for the people that don’t know her, she’s seen as a sweet young woman who tries to be sociable. although friendly, she isn’t as friendly as some would expect her to be, so she could come off as cold or as just another ‘pretty face’. there isn’t that much that she shows to strangers, so it really depends on those people on whether or not she’s likeable or a genuinely nice person.
for the people that know her, she is a paradox, a mix of everything while not being anything in a particular way. she seems like a sociable young woman, though she only surrounds herself with acquaintances and has a few closed friends. she wants to get validation from people, but she also couldn’t care less about their opinion on her. she’s supportive and would sacrifice a lot of things for the ones she loves while also being egotistical sometimes. no one can pinpoint how she truly is and, truth be told, she can’t tell who she truly is either.
