With Chetney getting an unexpected reprisal for his actions with Tuyen more than 40 episodes prior, I'm excited to see if anything comes from another plot thread which seemed very important at the time but was seemingly dropped. The shards of the gnarlrock. Another twisting, mutating force which Imogen succumbed to and Pike was left with. It's possible that it needed longer to do its work than Imogen spent with it, and we can all hope Pike handles her shard safely. But with long forgotten plot points returning in spectacular fashion, who knows what Matt has in store

Okay, so this feels very spaghetti at the wall, but does anyone think Doolan Tversky could be working with Ludinus and the Unseelie court? It just feels like something that could be in her wheelhouse.

Her only appearance in the show is when she asked the Darrington Brigade to go after a space rock with mutative properties.

That was in 17 years ago, plenty of time for Ludinus to find out about her research and get invested in the kind of power that could turn a duck into a threat requiring a whole adventuring party.

Like I said, spaghetti. Ludinus > Doolan, Unseelie Court / Ira > Gnarlrock > the meteor, Ruidus > the meteor

odd parallel that might be something (has probably already been found but I'm a lil behind):

delilah harnessing (tbh we don't know what it does) the gnarlrocks, rendering them inert and clearly helping her

and

Ludinus using the harness to take something, the essence of fey beings

idk maybe something that was meant to be a callback or idk if they had gone down the route of the gnarlrock and learning more about it before finding the stuff in molaesmyr

anyway, I really hope we find out more about the gnarlrock bc that was a cool plot thread that I feel like we lost too soon. idk if imogen still has the one that fearne put in her bag that she tried to tempt delilah with

for some reason the all minds burn hive is making me think of the gnarlrock and of molaesmyr (specifically the corruption) and I have no idea why or what connections my brain wants me to make.

not necessarily between molaesmyr and the gnarlrock but the hive to one of those two. something about mutation and corruption
