Gnomevember 2022, one

And here we go!! 🍄💕

Things continuing to be very busy this month as I get ready for Little Red Wagon Artisan Market, AND my gallery reception this Friday (!!!) – not to mention commissions and usual Tock Work, AND the birthday of my incredible Wife – I am not gonna commit to doing a prompt list this year. Rather, I will be going with a theme, again.

In this case – as indicated by the art above (which, full disclosure, is a piece drawn last year but finished up this year FOR the gallery show) – the theme is Tales.

Tales inspire us. Tales connect us. So what does that mean, in those moments with ourselves, and with each other?

(Get ready for this to very likely be vague and weird, at least in moments, but hopefully as whimsical and heartwarming as I always try to be, in the end!)

So my Wife and I are big fans of Oatly (everyone should be fans of Oatly they are the bessssssst) and while all their packaging is awesome, I feel like every time I get a carton with the Sasquatch on it, it adds five years to my life.

Thusly, I’ve wanted to draw him for some time. And now I have. Times three.

Oats stand for “the witching soul of music,” by the by. They are blessing her harvest with song. Tra la la 🌱🎶🌱

So firstly, there has been an egregious lack of Tock and Onna making out in this month’s challenge AND last month’s, so I apologize profusely.

Secondly, I drew this Saturday morning, and intended it for Monday - BUT, posting it today instead in the wake of the tragedy at Club Q last night, which itself happened on the eve of the Trans Day of Remembrance, which is today. Gods.

I don’t know what to say.

Except to make queer art. They can’t silence us unless we LET them. No matter what they do.

So.

Keep making queer art.
