B = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partner’s): ellinor and cullen are both huge fans of each other’s hair (ellinor just really likes cullen’s hair and likes to grip onto it when he goes down on her, and cullen just thinks ellinor’s is really pretty even if he’s too nervous he’ll pull too hard so he won’t hold it when she goes down on him 😂). but besides that, ellinor really likes cullen’s chest and back. for a long time, he was insecure about the scars he had from kinloch and kirkwall, but he eventually opens up about them, so she associates those parts of him with trust. cullen likes ellinor’s hands because they can do a lot because they’re very delicate and nimble, unlike his.

F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual): ellinor on top! she’s rather take the lead anyway, and cullen likes to be able to kiss her neck and boobs and look at her when they make love. ❤️

G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc): so i think they’re definitely more serious early on because their relationship is so fragile for so long, and because cullen would be insecure about his initial lack of experience. he doesn’t strike me as the type to laugh off his insecurities. but i think as they grow more confident together, they’d definitely goof off a little. especially cullen. he’d like to tickle her or tease her when they’re first ~getting it on~, at least until she swats him for the forbidden tickling (she hates it).

oooo tmi tuesday! does ellinor have any quirks? like does she pick her nails, mess with her hair, nervous little tics? that can go for the da universe too! :D ooooo what are her favorite smells?

oooooh i love these! 😍 first, college!ellinor is a nervous sipper!!!!! bored in class? sip the coffee. awkward silence? drink water. party convo not going her way? chug that jack & coke!!!! literally anytime she finds herself unsure of what to do next, she takes a sip of whatever drink she has at the moment. in canon, her ticks are less obvious. she’s a teeth grinder, if she’s frustrated or angry. growing up with the company the trevelyans kept, she didn’t always hold her tongue (she’s always been feisty lol), but she did try sometimes, and that led to a lot of jaw clenching, lip biting, etc.

favorite smells are cullen *wink*, basil, summer rain, spiced cider, hot fresh jasmine rice, vanilla lattes, and that grungy spilt alcohol and haze smell of a concert venue

Peppermint and dandelion!

peppermint: sweater weather or beach days? sweater weather for sure! HOWEVER, the beach is the only thing worth looking forward to in summer. so…both, sort of haha.

dandelion: have you ever tried to garden? not really. i used to help my parents garden when i lived with them (mostly just by weeding, watering, and picking things), but now i live in the city, so i don’t really have land or space to have an *actual* garden. but i do potted herbs (usually basil, rosemary, mint, and chives) and tomatoes on my back porch!

What part of your long fic has been your favorite to write so far? What part are you most looking forward to? :D

thank you owen! 🥰 there are so many parts of AWA that have brought me so much joy (and sometimes heartache) to write. it’s difficult to really pick one part, though on a whole, i love showing the way ellinor has grown and matured over the course of the story, from being a hotheaded and unforgiving herald at the start of the fic to being so much more compassionate and and soft and unguarded now. she’s retained so much of her core personality traits (her stubbornness, the way she makes decisions with her heart first and then her brain, her eloquence and intelligence) but she’s still grown and learned, and i think this is best shown through her interactions with her sister, lyssa, throughout the fic (and perhaps more noticeably her narration and observation of lyssa). she’s grown from despising lyssa for something she had no direct influence or impact on fourteen years ago to seeking her help and trusting her wholly and completely with the lives of the two people she loves most dearly, their brother avery and then of course cullen. she’s just!! come so far!! and i am proud of her!!

in terms of what i’m looking forward to, definitely the upcoming end to the lyrium arc of the story, as i mentioned in a previous ask, but also the impending confrontation at the shrine of dumat. it will be a very monumental moment for both cullen and ellinor, and it will be a good resolution for what has previously been a background arc within the story. :)

❤ first sexual experience? when ellinor was 21 (five years pre-Inquisition), after being for lack of a better term used and abused by any number of noblemen who courted her, kissed her, danced with her, and left her all for the sake of her family’s notoriety or money, she fell for a templar in Ostwick who she thought was *different* (she already despised templars for taking her brother to the Circle, and because her most-hated sister is one of them). but you know. she still has some naivety at this point. she *wanted* him to be different. so she falls for the same thing all over again, they get engaged, he tells her he loves her, he sleeps with her (sexual experience number one for ellinor), he moves up in the ranks thanks to her sister who is knight-captain at this point, and then he leaves, just like everyone else.

💍 thoughts on marriage? i think leading up to the inquisition, ellinor has zero plans to marry, because first of all, finding her brother after the Circles broke is just her number one priority, and second of all, men are trash and she’s never met one with good intentions. HOWEVER, after falling in love with cullen, she is absolutely down for marriage. a lot of this is because she does not care for her family, with the exception of her brother, avery, and one of her three sisters, lyssa (who she didn’t reconcile with until 14 years after avery was taken to the Circle). she doesn’t think of her family fondly, and she doesn’t remember her childhood fondly. but she knows there are happier, loving families out there–she sees this first when cullen tells her about all of mia’s letters. and she really wants that. so it’s an instant yes when cullen proposes to her at the exalted council, and furthermore (this isn’t part of the question but oh well), she is very enthusiastic about ditching her own family name and taking a new one, if only for the sour taste her own family name leaves in her mouth. also because ellinor is nothing if not a spiteful binch, and she likes the idea that if her family wants to claim any relation to her, they’ll have to say that they’re related to ellinor rutherford, and the trevelyans have never looked kindly on fereldans. ellinor finds that hilarious af.

🍑 which companion has the best butt? oh ellinor has major respect for both dorian’s butt and cassandra’s butt. dorian just has a nice butt in general but you know cass does all the warrior workouts and the squats and all that. (she’s also a big fan of cullen’s butt of course but the question specified companions so you know)

What are your character’s biggest regrets? What are things they wouldn’t change no matter what? :D for tmi Tuesday! :D

aurelia’s biggest regrets are what she really couldn’t prevent, for the most part: the deaths of her family members. carver’s is probably most prominent, but after malcolm’s, she felt guilt that she may not be able to take care of her family. after leandra’s, she felt that she’d failed her mother one last time. it’s not in her control but she still regrets it. one thing she’d never change is not confronting fenris about their feelings for each other before he was ready to speak to her about it. she was so angry at him for leaving her once and then rejecting her advances after leandra died, but in the end, they both needed their space, whether she realizes it at the time or not. and he was something worth waiting for.

at risk of possibly spoiling some AWA upcoming stuff, ellinor regrets not forgiving her sister lyssa sooner. she places a lot of blame on lyssa after their brother avery is taken to the circle, but the truth is that lyssa was a passive bystander, not an active participant. and although she’s right to scorn her for being complicit in letting avery be taken away for doing nothing wrong, she takes so long to be kind to lyssa again when in reality lyssa is a kind soul with no backbone who cares deeply about ellinor and the rest of her siblings but has trouble standing up for what’s right when she lives in the shadow of both ellinor and their oldest sister, bryony. one thing ellinor would never change is her persistence to look for avery after the circles broke. there were so many times she could have (and maybe even SHOULD have given up), but she never stopped trying. even though it’s cullen who eventually finds him, he only does so because he knows how important it is to ellinor. and her persistence pays off, and she’s able to be reunited with her twin brother after fourteen years apart because she never gave up :’)

emilia’s biggest regret is actually the same as what she would never change: asking alistair to perform the dark ritual with morrigan. it broke her heart to ask him to do something she knew he didn’t want to do, especially because she knew how manipulative it was. she knew he wouldn’t say no if he asked her. but it came just after they had slept together for the first time, and they’d been romantically involved for quite some time before they allowed themselves to be so vulnerable with one another. asking him to share that short of vulnerability with someone she knew he disliked, regardless of her own friendly feelings toward morrigan, felt so wrong to her. and yet she would never take it back, because she wouldn’t know what to do without alistair, who is the sole person in thedas who had been with her from when her life fell apart to the very end of everything. she loves him too much to let him go, but she also loves him so much that it pained her so deeply when she asked him to do the ritual.

i realize some all three of them seem a bit too feisty/hot-headed/cold to fall under “good,” but at the end of the day, their feelings and emotions don’t detract from the fact that all three of them only want to do what they believe is right.p
