I want to be a faithful servant of God. I will be successful.
‘The Lord is King forever and ever’
(Psalm 10:16a).
God is in ultimate control of this universe. The kingdom of God is the rule and reign of God.
Your kingdom come.
Day 18 of 365
Gift
I’m pretty sure everyone of us has been given gifts. Now, how do you react when someone gives you a gift? We usually accept them.
But what about God? He has this one great gift that He’s been giving you and it’s called Salvation. Tell me, have you received it or rejected it?
We all have been saved because Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross. And that is his gift to us. But a lot of us have rejected it. The thing is, even if a lot of us have been keeping on rejecting that gift, he’s still waiting for you to actually one day realize that there’s this great gift coming from an Amazing, Beautiful, Compassionate Father from heaven and finally accept it.
He’s just knocking on the doors of your hearts. Don’t ignore him and don’t reject him. But accept him and his gift to you. And I do hope one day, you’ll have a wonderful personal relationship with God as you journey all throughout life. Make him your acquaintance, companion, friend... and eventually your best friend. Have faith in him. Work with him and work for him. Follow his will even if his plans are different from what we expect. Remember, God’s plans are greater than our plans. He knows what’s best for us.
We humans think we can do things on our own... but we will just tire ourselves and burn out immediately if we do things our way and on our own. God is here for us. We need him. God loves us so much that he would discipline us when we do something that isn’t right according to his standards. And as long as we keep sinning and keep ignoring him, he’s going to keep on disciplining us until we realize that what we’re doing isn’t right and that we really need him in our lives. We are God’s children and he loves us so much despite of constantly hurting him.We are heirs to his kingdom. And I’m going to keep it on saying it... he has a gift for you and me.
So, will you accept or will you continue to reject?
