A Black Sheep Returns to God
The purity of life is too fragile that a brush of evil could potentially corrupt it. The temptation to do evil often seeps into our minds. As our resistance chafes and wears thin, purity would be at the mercy of devilish temptations. However, it doesn’t mean we’re forever lost and that we’ll never recover from evil. A black sheep will want to return to God’s light even if the last shred of hope evaporates. Life has its tragedies and we all take a share of them. These impediments render delays in our search for life’s meaning and in the discovery of God’s promises. Oftentimes, we find ourselves in soul-crushing conundrums that make us question all the goodness in the earth. We ask ourselves, “why are we deserving of such cruel fate?” The Becoming of a Black Sheep During our descent in life, we splurge on things that harm us physically, mentally, and spiritually. Hence, we stray further in the path of just and show no resistance against the temptations of the malevolent. We transform into the black sheep we swore we would never become. This is the greatest tragedy of that we all face in our life, although each comes in a unique form. We become so lost in our problems that we start losing ourselves. As a consequence, we resort to rationalize our faults and continue to falter willingly. However, an unrealized hope lingers inside us even if we think we ran out of it. He doesn’t want to see us suffer. This is why He engineered us with a hope that no evil will ever consume nor corrupt. It serves us a compass that guides us in our return to God. Read the full article
