Pants hummed as she looked up at the top shelf. She was at the bookstore, and the volume of tales she wanted was on the very top, flimsy shelf in the aisle. She very very short herself, but wasn't going to let that stop her. She set down the stack of books in her hand and stood on her tiptoes, stretching her fingers up to try to reach it.
No luck.
She hopped up and down on her feet, gaining leverage, but not long enough to grab it.

She sighed and hung head, looking back up at it and contemplating climbing the shelf by this point.
