this awful heaving, breathing thing that sags with heavy flesh, become an entity where david haller still shines through in its eyes. light yagami courts death in its truest form, wholly comprised of a tender pestilence where it rises from its throne and beckons him forward, drawing nearer of its own accord. it shares a hunger with him, calling to kira as opposed to either of their better halves. a dark mist gathers around their feet, shadows willed into the third dimension that yearn for similar shadows within the gathering of light yagami’s offering.
‘ would you be king with me? ’ it shudders in david’s voice, drawing ever closer with a devious intent. they have married with each other, both beast and burden, inhabiting david’s skin with relative ease; welcomed. as light is kira, so too are david and the being one and the same, bound together in an endless cycle of shared depravity. an understanding, which is what it speculates as it drinks in the presence of kira for itself.
‘ would you rule with me? ’ it shuders again, yearning for another skin, to court a union of kings made conquerors by way of the being that sponsored it, cutting a violent swath through each their paths to one another . . . what it asked is a shared request, ancient and forever and as honest as the heart of david haller shines through their shared eyes. united, they extend their hand towards the marriage of kira and light, light and kira.
they yearn for you to ascend with them, with us. skin and bone and being within. let us devour you, becoming one with each the other. let us marry the skin between us, the blood our bodies share.
the last they whisper softly to the mind, their lips unmoved, their voice a gentle thrum along the spine of his consciousness.
let us rule, light yagami. thee and me.
