The background was actually a fun study so that’s a win-win; I need to shape up my backgrounds more often. It’s not a detailed as I wanted, but I was (hopefully) going for a concept art style!

A lesser faction of smaller creatures called ‘Guardians’ serve and enact the Alpha Titan’s rule on a smaller scale. Little is known about their interactions with humans, if any exist beyond legends. The first record to depict the Cetus (Kētos) exists in the Legends of Perseus, wherein the aquatic creature guards Andromeda. Unlike other Titans, Guardians do not challenge Titans. However, there is debate on the source of their loyalty; it is theorized that Godzilla’s presence supports the quality of the Guardian’s underwater habitats.

King of Monsters verse:

I’ve mentioned creating a verse where Cetea act as Guardians— a lesser form of Titan who serve Gojira. A predominant reason for their loyalty stems from the fact that Gojira does not consume fish or other denizens of their ecosystem, but radiation instead. Which is why Cetea and other aquatic Guardians are so hesitant to follow another ruler, should a Titan try to ursurp Gojira.

A good ruler doesn’t eat their servants, after all.
