This was it. This was the day. She was going to do it. She’d made it this far. And yet, her heart was already jackhammering away in her chest. She was going to make it to that shop and get that limited edition merch because screw the company for making it only available if you bought it in person. Of course, she wasn’t the most physically active person, but she refused to take a bus or ask Sojiro for help, and she was definitely not going anywhere near a taxi.
Not that it was a super far walk, it was just...fairly hot out and that made the walk seem longer than it was, which, in turn, meant she was taking a lot of breaks. But even when she finally made it--a pretty surprising victory. But yet...now that she was here, now that she was seeing the line before her...her legs refused to move. There were so many people here already...
Her palms felt sweaty, but she couldn’t even bring herself to wipe them on her pants as the cold chill seeped into her bones, her stomach twisting uncomfortably. This wasn’t good. She’d finally made it all the way here and she’d have to turn around and go home empty handed? What a rip-off!
There was no way she could let it end like this! She sucked in a breath, and shakily examined her surroundings, looking for someone--anyone--who looked vaguely familiar, and her eyes lit on a tall male with dark blue hair. Bingo!
“H-hey, you!” she called, her voice cracking as it warbled out, hurrying to grab the sleeve of his shirt. “D-Do me favor!” she was practically the equivalent of a newborn deer the way her legs were shaking. “I-if you do, I’ll...u-uh...I’ll...treat you to a meal! W-within reason.” That was good enough, right? Who could turn down free food..?
