Happy Wednesday everybody!

Here's a picture as part of a trade I did with @goldenguillotines of their lovely mushroom goldie Ciruna! :3 I had plenty of fun doing this, played around with some lineart and background stuff, so thank you very very much for the opportunity GG! ^^

Do you lean towards making ancestors more? Or descendants more? What is your favorite topic to delve into for ancestors and what do you like to explore with their descendants?

Uhm! It depends on what kind of story I’m trying to tell with the character.

Usually when I make an ancestor it’s because there are someone I want to be fully Established (tm) and the stories I tell with them are less about them getting their footing and more about what they do with their established existences.

vs descendants who are just starting out on their paths/earlier on in them and still figuring out how to get to the level that the loser who came before them did (see: Redivi’s whole deal vs Weasel’s whole deal; Thanat/Persep; Weaver/Spider).

So I guess it’s like.. idk with ancestors i’m removing the legwork of providing an origin story until the muse strikes me vs with descendants I’m actively writing their origin story as they navigate life

Fantrolldex Daily Round-Up

I’m posting this one a little earlier than I’d like because I’ll be busy later on, but here’s the first Fantrolldex Round-Up!

Today, we had 4 new contributors and 7 new submissions, bringing our total up to 13 Poketrolls!

In terms of blog updates, we now have a page dedicated to contributors and tags! If you submit a poketroll, we will include a link to your blog on this page. Please let me know if your fantroll blog is a sideblog so I can link correctly, if you would prefer a link to an off-site page like a Toyhou.se profile, or if you would prefer to not have a direct link at all. 

For blog organisation purposes, we will also be tagging new submissions with the individual Pokemon name, their type, and what generation they’re from. These tags will be added onto the post after the round-up has been made public. 

Stats

Currently, we have seen 13 total poketrolls, and catalogued 13 unique poketrolls. All our submissions so far have been unique entries!

The most popular type at the moment is normal, with 5 poketrolls. Currently, we have not catalogued a single water, grass, electric, poison, ground, bug, or rock type Pokemon!

The most popular generation at the moment is generation 4 (Sinnoh), with 3 poketrolls. Currently, the only generation not represented so far is gen 9.
