This is Mr Denis Rice of Montrose. As a philosopher and ethics lecturer, Denis spent most of his working life thinking deep and most of his free time golfing and then later diving deep into the huge whins at the famous golf courses of Montrose. There he would hunt for lost balls; he would give those to the junior section of his beloved club or donate them to charities to raise money for good causes. He is one of the first people I had the luck to portrait as a writer and photographer some six years ago. Although nowadays you will probably not find him howking for balls in the bushes, you can still meet him on the links, where he regularly goes for walks amongst the dunes. Yesterday Denis turned 90 – I am happy and honored to call him my friend. @montrosegolflinks #montrose #golfandlife #golfinglegend #truegentleman #friendship #golf #golfismorethanagame #golfphilosophy https://www.instagram.com/p/CpKhE2ALLo4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
