she never expected to wake up like this. messed up bed sheets, pillows on the floor, blinding sunlight that's entering her room, and a woman touching her tummy with soft airy touches.
"are you awake now, wonnie?" the woman asks, chaewon replies with a hum as she snuggles on the girl's neck.
chaewon looks at the girl staring at the ceiling, smiling. "hyejoo," the girl looks at her with curiosity. "did you ever thought that we'd be like this?"
the girl, hyejoo turns her body to chaewon. "by like this, do you mean waking up to your light snoring and your face softly kissed by the sun?" she chuckles slightly, "then no, i didn't."
chaewon gives her a puzzled look, "why? you told me you liked me for quite a while."
"you were too far to reach for me. thinking of those scenarios would hurt me too much." hyejoo continues, looking at chaewon's soft brown eyes.
"but you're here now." hyejoo lightly laughs, a smile never tearing from her lips. "i don't need to stop myself from imagining that anymore."
chaewon pulls hyejoo to her, letting the younger girl nestle her head on the older's chest. "thank you for confessing to me hyejoo. it means a lot to me." chaewon then wraps her arms on the girl's head, nails lightly scratching the girl's scalp.
hyejoo hums happily, very contented with the way the older is massaging her scalp. chaewon kisses her temple. "happy anniversary, hyejoo."
