what's the gone series it sounds cool

its a lot more shitty than i make it seem i promise?? its a 6 book series by michael grantanyways its in your typical grungy YA style, nd its basically about what would happen if all people over 15 vanished and the city was sealed off?? it sounds lame and it kind of is butit has canon queer characters of color so thats cool. and its written fairly well butfair warning: the books use a LOT of slurs (mostly ableist, though as the series progresses theres more homophobic ones) and even though theyre used in a context that shows that theyre Wrong its still awfultheres also a vaguely ableist undertone to the narrative and. ehits not as egregriously shitty as Some other pieces of media (thanks got) and it has a mostly poc cast so thats cool but. Ehwouldnt recommend it too much unless u have the spoons to deal through the ableism in it? its real saving point is CHARACTERS
